This year Christian Aid week focuses on Malawi. St Joseph's Church has a special link to Malawi through our parish priest Fr Nazarius Mgungwe. He knows first-hand the heart-breaking choices Malawians have to face.

Jen, a Malawi pigeon pea grower is facing such a heart-breaking choice: which child to educate and which one will miss out on their dreams. No mum should have to face such a choice.

No hard-working young person should be forced to give up on education, locking them into poverty, but this is what one of Jen's sons might have to do.

We dream of a better world. We want every child to be able to have the education they need to break free of poverty. Together we can help farmers, such as Jen, plant better seeds, secure a fairer price for the crops, and build happier futures for their children.

With your help, we can make dreams come true around the world. We won’t stop until everyone can live a full life, free from poverty.
