In some parts of the world, mothers have to face making a choice of which child to educate. In Malawi, for example, farmers are struggling to survive, with crops devastated by droughts, floods and storms. Food, fuel, fertiliser and school fees have all doubled in price in the last 12 months.

Jen Bishop has 2 boys who have worked hard to gain places at top colleges. she is doing all she can to earn money for their education, by growing pigeon peas but her profits are lost to unscrupulous middle men.

Christian Aid is striving to lift families like these out of poverty, by securing a fair price for her crops, and enabling her to protect her plants from extreme weather conditions.

Thank you for your support in the past and i hope you will consider helping families like Jen's to support their own families and live a better life.
